The holocaust dates back to 1933-1945, hitter Germany's chancellor wanted to wipe out all of the Jews in Europe. The places which held many Jews were Romania, Hungary and Poland. Hitler first went into Poland and sent men women and children to concentration camps where you would either work or be killed in some of the most torturous ways possible. One thing that stood out to me was how some of the people that lived near these Jews stayed silent. Some chatholic's did do heroic things to save the Jews, but some just stayed and watched their neighbors be driven away. One fact is that every 2 of 3 Jews died in concentration camps. Families were broken and dreams were ruined. After this dark period passed in Germany their are strict laws stating that you can not say anything bad about Jews because of what they had to endure in that time period.
